Accessorizing is a must for every Mia Chica girl.
We love to throw on a hat, wrap a plaid flannel around our waist, or even clip a pin here and there to add a bit of flare.

Check out our leather jacket with safety pinned elbow and collar detail!
You can do so much with little items such as safety pins to add a bit of detail to your everyday look. This has inspired us to create a Safety Pin bracelet D.I.Y. for you!

Materials
  • Embroidery Floss
  • Safety Pins (about 50, 1" in size)
  • Seed Beads
Tools
  • Scissors

Directions
  1. Start by opening up your pins and threading on your beads, then closing the pin. Since I am using a multi-pack of small beads, I started by making sure they all fit and looked good on the pins.
  2. Line up the beaded pins in a row how you would like them to look on your bracelet. I alternated the gold and coral colors, creating a stripe. Make sure you alternate the pins so every other closure is facing up or down. This will ensure that the bracelet will sit evenly on your wrist.
  3. Take the embroidery floss and wrap it around your wrist twice. Then double that piece of string and cut it. Fold the piece of string in half and make a 1/4 inch knot, this is where the closure will be.
  4. Once you have pins beaded, start threading them onto your embroidery floss. Alternate threading them through the top and the bottom of the pins, making sure the beads are all facing the outside.
  5. Once you’ve strung on all your pins, tie off the ends of the embroidery floss. I used one safety pin on the opposite side of the knot, for the closure.
Wah Lah
Now you have an awesome one-of-a-kind bracelet :)

Happy D.I.Y. Friday

xo,
Mia Chica
