How cute is she!?

Materials
  • Embroidered Ribbon Trim
  • Assorted Feathers
  • 1/4" Ribbon
  • 1 1/2" Felts Strip
Tools
  • Scissor
  • Hot Glue Gun

Directions

  1. Start by taking your feathers and create a layout of how you want your feathers to look on your headdress. Michaels has feathers in packs of different color schemes that work perfectly. You can also combine the packs depending on how elaborate and colorful you want your headdress to be
  2. Next, take your embroidery ribbon and place it embroidered side down.
  3. Begin taking the feathers from the middle of your layout and glue them with your hot glue gun, starting from the center of your ribbon. I like how there is a gradual size difference from tall in the middle to short on the ends, this is also good for a larger array of colors to be seen.
  4. After all of your feathers have been glued to your embroidery ribbon, fold over the ends of the embroider ribbon and hot glue them down.
  5. Next, take the strip of felt and hot glue the top rim to the top end of the embroidery ribbon.
  6. Cut 2 pieces - ___ of your 1/4" ribbon and hot glue each piece in between the two pieces of embroidery ribbon and felt on each side. (not pictured)
  7. Last, glue the inner bottom side of the felt to the bottom end of the embroidery ribbon.

Now you have a one-of-a-kind feather headdress :)

Happy D.I.Y. Friday
