DIY Father's Day Card!



What You Need:
- 2 pieces of 8 1/2" X 11" Card Stock
- Printed Construction or Card Stock Paper
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Glue or Double Sided Tape
- Pencil
- Markers (for decoration)


1. Take your ruler and card stock and draw a 7" X 2" rectangle
2. Take your ruler and mark 1 1/2" down from the top of the rectangle, on each side.
3. From there, mark 1/4" in, on each side.
4. Take your ruler and mark 1" (the center) of the bottom of the rectangle.
5. Take your ruler and mark 1/2" up from the bottom of the rectangle, on each side.
6. From the top left, connect each of your marks that you've made and do the same for the right side of the rectangle.
7. Take your scissors and cut out the shape.

Now you have your tie-stencil.

8. Take your printed paper and lay your stencil on top of it.
9. Trace your tie stencil onto the printed paper.
10. Cut out your paper tie.

Set Aside.

11. Take your card stock paper and fold it in half
12. Take your ruler and make 1 1/2" marks in, from the top of your card.
13. From the top, mark 1 1/2" down 
14. From there, mark 3/4" over, on each side.
15. Cut the center fold down to the second mark you made (step #13.)
16. Make a cut on each side to where the line stops (step #14.)
17. Make folds to make your collar.

18. Take your paper tie and glue or tape it to the center of your card.
19. Take your adhesive and pin down the collars on top of  the tie.
20. Fold down the extra back piece of the card to match up to the front shoulder of the card.
21. Cut the fold off and your card is complete!
